Holistic Medicine for the Whole Family

- I am an acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in the holistic treatment of children and families. I set out in writing this blog to begin sharing my everyday thoughts and experiences in the hopes of helping more parents make healthier choices for their children. Why Holistic Pediatrics?
Holistic pediatrics is the long-term, safe, and effective approach to caring for childrens' bodies and spirits through the use of natural medicine. It works to promote healing and wellness for a child’s body, mind, and spirit.
I believe that natural care begins at home, where nutrition and healthy connected relationships build the foundation for healthy bodies. But when imbalance takes hold, as it sometimes will, holistic medicine can be used to help the body find its own way back to health. Through holistic care, which can include stimulation of acupuncture points (with or without needles), herbs, supplements, homeopathy, and nutrition, we can successfully reduce symptoms. And more importantly, we boost the body's own natural defenses and increase the ability to fight off future illness.
In my practice I encourage parents to incorporate naturally safer alternatives to household products, over the counter drugs, and commercially processed foods. I work to help parents become the first line of defense in their child’s wellness and teach children and parents to work together in understanding the truer meaning of wellness.

How awesome, I'm going to watch it right now.
I have already forwarded this on to a couple of people. Interesting stuff...and good to know that there is an option, a very good option, to better health without drug therapies.
